We're scheduled to beg the ASUM for money at 5:30PM, October 21st. Everyone who can come, please do! Let's show an enthusiastic face that will get us lots of cash for the Art Fair!

New info!
It's in the alumni board room! I won't be there, but I've given Trevor the information to give the presentation.

And the results. It looks like we're slated to get $115 dollars for the table. Now, the ASUM has a few restrictions on how the money we make from the table gets used, and what can be sold. We can't do what we did last time: Everyone bringing in a pile of stuff to sell at the table. WWWWHHYYYYYYYYYY? ? *sob* The ASUM is still in conflict over reimbursing. I explained that the reimbursement money would come from the money that the table makes and that artists would only be reimbursed for the things that they actually sold. However, some of the ASUM doesn't want any money at all getting back into the hands of the artists. Since we're running out of time and need to get this registration stuff done ASAP; I told them that reimbursement would be a battle for another day, i.e. the spring Art Fair. So, for now, what can we do? We shall make things together, using only materials provided by the club. So, if you want to sell prints, stickers, postcards, greeting cards, things that require printing, etc., etc., University Crafters pays for the printing, and the prints belong to the University Crafters, for the purpose of being sold at Art Fairs. If you want to sell crocheted hats, Crafters pays for the yarn, and keeps the hats for sale at the Art Fairs. This of course, means that the Anime Club can't be piggy-back riding along for this one. Anime Club members: if you want to sell stuff, the money is going to the University Crafter's account, not the Anime Club's. Sorry. If you want people to give you commissions, then make a stack of business cards with your own money, and we can have them sitting at the table, available for those interested. Hopefully we will have things worked out next time so that people can bring in their homegrown artworks for sale. So, this raises a problem. We need to be producing things to sell at our table! Ideas people! We need ideas!
